Wild Otter Breaks Into Zoo

A wild North American otter found his way into the otter enclosure in the Jacksonville Zoo on Sunday. Because Florida law requires that zoos not take in wild Animals unless they are injured or a public nusiance, the zoo was required to release the little guy back into the wild on Monday.
“He’s a first-time offender,” the curator of the zoo’s mammals said. “So we let him go.”
