WalMart Worker Sets Himself Ablaze

A WalMart worker followed the example of the Tibetian Monks by setting himself on fire outside the store he worked at. The 58 year-old said he could “couldn’t take it anymore,” and is now dead.Witnesses tried to help put out the flames, but the man kept throwing it off. His son wanted to make it clear that the suicide was not due to the repression, but the actual reason may never be known.

Wal-Mart corporate spokesman Dan Fogleman said the man had worked for Wal-Mart for a little over 7 years, most recently as an overnight stocker.  He said he had spoken with a member of the store’s management who described him as “a good guy and fun to be around.”

He called the suicide “a tragic situation, and our thoughts and prayers are with the friends and family.”
