Tanzania Witchdoctors Crave Albino Flesh

On Friday, Tanzania revoked the licenses of all traditional healers after the discovery of the 40th albino murder to occur since mid-2007. At least 10 witchdoctors are still flouting their services despite the ban, as seen by the BBC corespondents.

“The killers reportedly sell albino body parts - including limbs, hair, skin and genitals - to witchdoctors.

The Tanzanian authorities have arrested more than 90 people in recent months - including four police officers - on suspicion of killing albinos or of trading in their body parts.
