England’s Oldest Sex Change Operation

A 64 year old grandfather recently became a grandmother after being the oldest person in the UK to go through a sex change operation. Michael Mason was married with 11 grand kids, but always longed to be female. He’s now followed through with this dream after changing his sex and adopting the moniker “Michelle.”

Michelle, now, 66, told The People the differences were clear even at the age of four.

She said: “I had a fascination with girls’ clothes and I cried when my mum dressed me for school because I wanted to wear a gym slip like the girls. At primary school I always hung around with the girls, that was how I liked it but when I was sent to an all-boys grammar school things had to change.
