Man Fired For Being A Veg-Head

A New York man is filing a discrimination suit against his employer, who picked on him for being a “gay” vegetarian. He is seeking “compensatory, emotional, physical and punitive damages.”

Pacifico said his relationship with his supervisor, Robert Catalanello, soured as soon as Catalanello discovered that Pacifico does not eat meat. That occurred when Catalanello picked a steakhouse for a team-building dinner and another employee suggested a restaurant where Pacifico would be more comfortable.

Catalanello refused to change restaurants and said “Who the f— cares? It’s his fault for being a vegetarian homo.”

I know the supreme court has ruled that vegetarianism isn’t a religion and does not qualify for discrimination protections under the law, but I wonder if the addition of homophobic slurs are enough to tip the verdict in his favor.
